Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, regularly earning massive paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly happening.
