Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one titles have been achieved on hard surfaces
A comeback the Russian player secured his maiden title for over two years with victory over Corentin Moutet in the competition championship match.
The Russian, a ex- number one, has endured a torrid year, managing just a single victory at the major tournaments and experiencing a difficult moment at the American major.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the professional circuit - and issues with his serve in specific - resulted in him dropping out of the elite rankings and finally splitting with long-term coach Gilles Cervara.
Now working with Thomas Johansson and his other coach, he has gradually advanced in the recent weeks - culminating in a closely contested three-set victory over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
This marks the player's initial championship since the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hardcourt since spring of that year.
Success also means Medvedev has won 21 titles at 21 various tournaments.
"For the first time I have attended a event with my children at once, so to get a championship is really nice," said world number 14 the champion.
"This title is in honour of my child my daughter, because the first title I got when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his previous six title deciders, including in the German tournament in the past months.
The player's retrieving play style and frequent reactions on the playing surface had prompted commentators to doubt if his skill to perform at the highest level was finished.
Yet the athlete has made changes in the past month, attempting to come to the net and compete assertively, supported by an enhanced serve.
Medvedev recovered from a disadvantage in the opening set against the difficult opponent, winning 4 of the final five exchanges to go ahead.
The pair swapped break points in the following set before the Frenchman, bidding for his first tour title, gained dominance to push for a third set.
He defended four early opportunities in a competitive third set before the champion won the break to fifteen to close out the victory.
Suitably, he earned victory with a point at the net, with his opponent failing to manage a volley after a lengthy match.
